Trees branches are natural fractal superstructures... this fact could give you a clue for a new title ! ;-)

I'm young and unwieldy - It's difficult to compromise ;).
But this name has stuck for quite a while, it'll be strange to change it now considering some people have ordered it with that name haha! But I thank you sincerely for your insight, comments and support on for my work :). It is deeply appreciated!

but it's not the trees which are trippy, it's the sky...hmm maybe call it, "the sky's the limit."

Hmmm... True, but "The Sky's the Limit" makes you think of infinity or a vast expanse, which I don't really see here. This is more, channeling Jim Morison, dropping acid and staring at trees while singing "Straaaaange Daaaaays have found us" :D. I did of that when i did this, except for the acid dropping part =P.

Thank you so much for the comments and favs you've given me lately . I appreciate it.

"Color of the Sky"

Amazing mixture of color. The trees definitely add something extra to the overall effect.

I feel like I'm looking through the trees and viewing the inside of a kaleidoscope in the sky.

I want to touch it for some reason. I feel like if I were to climb one of the trees I might pop up through the canopy and be able to reach the colors in the sky.

Thanks Jennifer! Another great comment :D

I was thinking of calling it 'Strange Days', cause that was what was going through my head at that point. I thought it was like staring into a forest skyline one afternoon while on acid lol.

It actually started out as a painting which was boring with no dynamics. I thought the trees would give it some focus. Although admittedly this only looks nice from afar. Up close you can see all the flaws :( :P

well, in retrospect, seeing as how it's a painting, perhaps those flaws are supposed to be there.

Oh yea, about a third of the way across the top half of the painting on the left side, I started to really look at the colors and it almost looks like there's a woman in the colors of the sky and she's holding a red flower in her outstretched hand.

Take a close look on the full view and you should be able to see it. I thought it was cool. ^_^

I've been trying for a while now and I still can't see this. I even opened the original file here on my comp. Hmm :?

Yeah but I'm highly conscious of flaws lol. Not that artwork can't have it but if it takes away from the artwork then I get worked up :P

Okay, full-view it on the DA page. Now, take your index finger and measure that distance 'into' the painting from the left side of the image, about an inch down. See that big red bit with the light blue beneath it? The blue would be the woman's face and the pinkish bit would be a dress. Then slightly farther to the right is another red bit (flower) with green beneath it (stem and leaves) and another bit of blue (woman's hand). See it yet? :D

And you're not the only one who's conscious of flaws. If you only knew how many pieces of paper I used to go through because of one screw-up in an almost finished picture... At least with your paints, you can always paint over an imperfection, lol. ^_^

Aaah I still can't see it! :(
I love the detailed explaination though ^_^. I'm glad someone still believes in those. I did see the blue and red bits but for some reason their just looking like the sky or a bit of a flower. Ok so I'm also a bit tired, Maybe i should try this when I'm fresh...like 1am lol :P

Ah i hear you! Probably my biggest hindrance with writing is probably that. I like having everything neatly laid out and exactly how i planned it. Though rarely I also go mad and let my right brain take over and tell myself I will put it up no matter how shit it looks lol. That's only with fractals and their mods though.

yea, get some sleep and try to see it again. Trust me, it's there. Think Picasso and massively abstract when you look and don't sit 6 inches from the screen squinting to see it... You'll never see it that way, lol.

If you need me to, I'll copy the image, outline it all on my computer, and email you the pic back so you can see exactly what I'm pointing out. ^_^

Ok I'm still sleepy granted but I've been trying for a bit and I'm starting to see dancing people... like cave figures. :S

I just realized some of the color has seeped into the tree trunks and branches. Leaving marks you would expect from a bleeding animal...with blue blood. God i need some sleep lmao.

Tales from the Light Side?

It seems to be the anathema to Tales from the Dark Side

Yes, yes... I know.. camp as hell and dated, but seems appropriate all things given.
